WORK we do
Organic farming; At present we have a 40'x100' organic
vegetable garden. (plus a 50'x100' potato field; when the snow
melts, we shall expand it by another 100'x200'). We have a 30'x96'
greenhouse erected and have just added another 12'x24' one.
We have laying ducks,and chickens. When it' is needed, we will
get a milking cow and horses for work and riding. While not
turning our backs on all technology, we nevertheless would rather
rather enjoy working along with animate creatures such as draft
horses.
When we realize how dependant we are on God for rain and
crops, it indeed makes us humble and thankful for his mercy!
This spring and summer we shall begin to sell our organic
produce from our roadside stand with prices at or below those
charged by the super-markets. This is also part of our outreach!
Please know that this farm is indeed a "learning center" for us all
as we re-discover the skills of our fore-fathers. We are thankful for
help extended to us by neighbors and the local Amish community.
